We are pleased to welcome Amy Ranger, MD to our staff of eye healthcare professionals. Dr. Ranger will be working side by side with Alicia Eby, MD, Justin Tannir, MD, and Kevin Leahy, OD.
Dr. Ranger grew up in Metropolitan Detroit, the youngest of seven children, and is a graduate of Our Lady of Mercy High School in Farmington Hills. She then studied Mechanical Engineering and Bioengineering at The University of Michigan, with research semesters at UC Berkeley and Northwestern University. She attended the university of Michigan medical school and residency at William Beaumont Hospital. Dr. Ranger has been in private practice in Traverse City, MI since 2000, focusing on Oculoplastic and eyelid surgery, Cataract and Refractive surgery, as well as medical diseases of the eye, including diabetes, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and dry eye.
Dr. Ranger is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, and a member of Michigan State Medical Society and Michigan Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons.
She and her husband, William, have raised three children to enjoy the outdoors, be informed and active citizens, work hard at school and anything else they commit to. They enjoy skiing, sailing, hiking, and traveling together!
