We are pleased to welcome Kevin Leahy, OD to our staff of eye healthcare professionals. Dr. Leahy will be joining our practice and working side by side with Alicia Eby, MD, Justin Tannir, MD, and Robert Foote, OD.
Dr. Leahy is an Optometrist who will be practicing at both Traverse City Eye’s locations in Traverse City and Kalkaska, Michigan (located on the second floor of Kalkaska Memorial Hospital).
Dr. Leahy completed his Optometry training from the Michigan College of Optometry and undergraduate degree in Vision Science both at Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan. Dr. Leahy also completed an Ocular Disease Residency at the VA Medical Center, located in Battle Creek, Michigan.
Throughout his years of education and training, Dr. Leahy has been actively involved in the American Academy of Optometry, the Michigan Optometric Private Practice Association and the Student Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (SVOSH). This allowed him to attend a mission trip to Dominica. Dr. Leahy is passionate about providing eye care to patients in need and looks forward to attending future mission trips.
Dr. Leahy commented, “I am looking forward to returning to my hometown and providing exceptional care to the Northwest Michigan communities.”
Dr. Leahy was born and raised in Traverse City, Michigan and is looking forward to returning to the beautiful northern Michigan where he enjoys exploring the outdoors, playing the drums, spending time with his fiancé, Kat, and dachshund, Yoda.
