Alicia M. Eby, MD
Alicia M. Eby, MD is a board certified comprehensive Ophthalmologist practicing at both Traverse City Eye’s locations in Traverse City and Kalkaska, Michigan (located on the second floor of Kalkaska Memorial Hospital).
Dr. Eby completed her internship and residency through the Kresge Eye Center at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, where she also received her medical degree. Dr. Eby completed her undergraduate degree at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Throughout her years of education and training, Dr. Eby has been actively involved in many leadership roles that include Chief Resident at Wayne State University, working with 20+ ophthalmology residents. She was also the Chapter President for the World Health Student Organization while at Wayne State University. She held the position of President for the Aesculapians Honor Society and the American Medical Women’s Association.
Dr. Eby commented, “It is a privilege to provide health care for this extraordinary community and I’m proud to be a part of it!”
Dr. Eby is originally from Ontario, Canada. She and her husband Axel have loved raising her two children in this special community. Dr. Eby finds such joy living and working in beautiful Northern Michigan, where she likes to get outside and enjoy nature, especially our beautiful lakes and trails.
