Richard Melstrom, OD
Richard Melstrom completed his undergraduate degree at Northern Michigan University before studying optometry at the Illinois College of Optometry in 1974. After completing his degree, he came to Cadillac, Michigan, where he operated as an independent practitioner for nearly 40 years before joining Traverse City Eye in 2024.
Dr. Melstrom has continued to practice out of a passion for patients and caring for multiple generations. He has built a lasting reputation of mutual respect between him and his patients over the years.
Dr. Melstrom and his wife Laurie have raised four children and enjoy spending time with them and their grandchildren.
